Stale Beans

Published by

I had a few packages of stale coffee beans and felt bad throwing them away. I mean, they still smelled great and coffee isn’t cheap. But when brewed, these beans had definitely lost their “good to the last drop” quality.

I read on the internet that I can add coffee grounds to my garden. I haven’t tried this yet- but the grounds are supposed to act as a plant stimulant. I also wonder if it repels the critters that like to munch on my plants?

What I did try was making a home-made exfoliant. I’ve used body exfoliant at a spa a couple of times and loved the results. So, I ground my beans, leaving them pretty coarse. I then used them with regular body wash in the shower. Afterward, my skin was amazingly soft! My skin felt as smooth and refreshed as the spendy spa versions. So if you’re wondering what to do with stale coffee beans or grounds- I recommend making a great smelling and easy-on-the-budget body wash.
