Green thumbin’ it

So I knew my small city was great place to live a long time ago. For starters, it’s the perfect mix between city and country with St Paul only 20 minutes away yet I see horse farms out my living room windows. It’s quiet here, despite the booming neighborhood. The church is close and the neighbors are awesome. Then my small city goes and does it again- shows its greatness by offering a community garden.

I had my doubts about whether I inherited my grandma’s gift with gardens and whether I could grow anything decent or edible. But I was eager to try and paid a whopping $20 for my summer plot. Within a couple days of furied hand plowing and planting- I was feeling accomplished.  But would anything grow?

I checked on my garden tonight. The sight of so many green leaves and baby buds made me laugh out loud. My garden is growing!

I love that you have a garden Jess!! Mine is doing great. Rasberries are just starting to ripen. Flowers look good- and released my first monarch butterfly today.
