I had the great opportunity to go to Camp Croix in Danbury, WI with my church’s teen youth group. While the youth group members sanded, white washed, and painted all of the camper cabins, I cooked for the whole gang. It was a lot of work, especially with Siri on my hip, but I loved being up north and having a chance to serve. Whether a 9 year old camper or a cook in the kitchen- camp is awesome? Thankfully I had 2 teen helpers assigned to each meal. The best thanks I received were the comments from the teens: “This is the best food I’ve every had in my life!” “Can I have fourths?”
