In our household, I am known as JessieBear. Ben gave me this nickname when we first married. It comes from the book “Better Not Get Wet, Jesse Bear”. In the book, the little boy gets into EVERYthing, despite his mother’s warning. I already had the nickname “Messy Jessie”, so Ben opted to use the more endearing version to mean the same thing- JessieBear. Naturally, Ben’s nickname became BenBear and you can probably guess the baby’s nickname: BabyBear.
BabyBear likes to make its presence known. On the first day of week 16, I felt it fluttering around and tickling my lower belly. At the end of week 17, BabyBear began thumping against my lower right side. I was fascinated! During week 18 I quickly learned that the lower right side is BabyBear’s “sweet” spot. Now I’m in week 19 and BabyBear regularly says “hello” with its increasingly powerful nuzzles. It even ventured out to the lower left side a few days ago. I am amazed by the feeling and how active it is!
A short note to BabyBear: I know you’re eager for adventure, but we still have a ways to go. So, you just keep happily swimming down there and I’ll just keep happily loving you up here.
Until December, I love you my little BabyBear. Love, Mommy
