I’ve explained before how my nickname JessieBear came about. This led to the name SiriBear. Since birth she has acquired many different names, all of which also refer to an animal for some reason.

Fish Face is pretty obvious, as she makes a teeny tiny “o” with her mouth when she is happy or sleepy. Platypus Lips appear when she is sad and is sometimes accompanied with the ever-pitiful quivering lower lip. Pteradactyl Cry comes out as a high, sharp chirp when she is upset but not yet to the point of crying, almost like a fore-warning of the wails to come. Bambi Lashes explains her gorgeous long eyelashes that reach her eyebrows when her eyes are open. And lastly, Ducky Hairs come out to play with wet or sweaty hair, as the whispies near her neck and ears wing out in circlets that remind me of a duck’s tail. I’m sure Siri will accrue more names to fit her appearance or personality but these keep us chuckling for now.

We have since added Owl Girl and Turtle Face. She looks back and forth and back and forth with super speed and big, wide eyes. And she likes to tuck in her lower lip, as if she’s deep in thought…
